Canvass Kickoff!

Wednesday, March 28th

I have great news! Due to your continued support I received the unanimous nomination to be the Democratic nominee for Senate District 21 at the Adams County Assembly! We could not have made it this far without you. Everyday more of our neighbors are joining our team to advance our shared values of opportunity, fairness and integrity. Even though Assembly was a success, we cannot rest. On the same Saturday I received the nomination, the Republican Party selected their candidate for SD 21 and we know they will be actively campaigning against us.

This weekend my campaign is launching our weekly door-to-door campaign. From now until Election Day, teams of volunteers will be joining me to talk to our neighbors about our vision to build an economy that works for all of Colorado. This race will be won on patios and in living rooms by engaging in honest conversations with our friends and neighbors. I am committed to creating the Colorado we all deserve, but our work must start at the grassroots level.

Can I count on you to join us this Saturday for our first round of door knocking? We will launch the canvass in my neighborhood (Sherrelwood) and work our way through the district. Here is the important information:

Saturday, March 31st, 2012
10:00 am (light breakfast provided)
Ulibarri-Trujillo residence
900 W. 79th Place
Denver, CO 80221

Only together will we bring our values of opportunity, fairness and integrity to the Legislature. I hope you will join us this Saturday.

Thank you again for your continued support.

With gratitude,
Jessie Ulibarri
Candidate for SD 21

PS: If you cannot join us this Saturday, or you are unable to canvass but would like to be involved in the campaign, please send me a personal message or give me a call. We need volunteers to assist with many responsibilities, including those that can be conducted in your home (e.g. writing reminder postcards). I would greatly appreciate your support!

PPS: Check out this fun article about one of the most important role models in my life, my grandma! She is a phenomenal champion for change and, from a very young age, she instilled in me that fairness is a family value.

Announcing my campaign

Greetings! My name is Jessie Ulibarri, and I’m running for office to help create an economy that works for all of Colorado. As a 3rd generation Adams County resident and as a working dad raising two kids, I’m intimately aware of the economic struggles everyday people face throughout our district. So many of us are worried about skyrocketing health care costs, the foreclosure crisis in our neighborhoods, and the continual budget cuts facing our schools.

I know we can solve these problems together.

Over the last 10 years I have worked in non-profit advocacy side by side with friends and neighbors like you to rein in the predatory practices of payday lenders, protect access to vital health care services, and defend funding for our schools and universities to ensure that our next generation will have every opportunity to succeed. With your help, we can protect the economic security and future of this district and our state.
