Most candidates list a series a policy positions on their websites, with vague statements like, “I support job creation.” Rather than recycle tired talking points, I have decided to put the questions to you: what issues are you most passionate about? What should I focus my time/energy on at the state capitol? What issues are impacting you and your neighbors that should be addressed? Send me an e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org or give me a call on my cell at 720.446.8683 to let me know what you think, I would love to speak with you!
Additionally, I want share my core values with you so you may better understand how I approach decision-making. The legislature often deals with complex and difficult issues, which may not be easy to predict year-to-year, but my values remain steadfast and serve as my moral compass.
- People should have a fair shot to succeed in life, without the odds always stacked against them. No matter what zip code you are born into or which neighborhood you grew up in, you should have the ability to live an amazing, healthy and productive life.
- If we want to build an economy that works for everyone, we need to understand that folks from all walks of life need to be included in how our government makes decisions. We should approach our lives with the understanding that we are all in this together and that rising tides lift all boats.
- What we do is just as important as how we do it. Transparency, honesty and ethical decision-making should be the cornerstone of how business is done in our personal lives, and in our state government.
